A video recorded during Donald Trump’s speech at the opening event of the Great American State Fair in Washington shows dozens of people leaving the public area while he was still speaking.
The speech marked the launch of the America 250 celebrations, a program that will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States.
For about 30 minutes, Trump addressed topics such as the economy, immigration, foreign policy and plans for the upcoming July 4 festivities.

After the video drew attention, Trump said on his social network, Truth Social, that the event brought together about 45,000 people and that “everyone stayed until the end” of the speech.
However, images recorded by journalists and shared on social media show part of the audience leaving the venue before the end of his remarks.
So far, the White House has not commented on the images, although it used its official social media profiles to highlight the alleged success of the event with images taken from the middle of the crowd near the stage.
